Psychotherapy can have a transformative influence on your life, whether you are seeking relief from psychological distress or wanting to deepen self understanding and promote psychological growth. I believe that through a collaborative therapeutic relationship, a person's potential for growth, development and positive change can be realised.
I have a psychodynamic approach to my therapeutic work. Psychodynamic psychotherapy aims to increase self-awareness and improve understanding of the impact of past experience on present behaviour, symptoms or distress. If you are feeling psychological pain, are struggling with interpersonal relationships, or have noticed that you are repeating unhealthy or unhelpful patterns of behaviour, psychotherapy can help you gain an understanding of the unconscious or dynamic forces contributing to these difficulties. Understanding is the first step on the journey towards change and acceptance.
