What to expect - Therapy requires energy, time and commitment and essential to effective therapy is a safe, trustworthy therapeutic relationship. So I believe that a good fit between client and therapist is very important. The first few sessions are therefore an important assessment phase. This gives you, the client, a chance to see whether you feel comfortable talking to me and allows you to ask any questions about the process of therapy. During this initial phase I will get a better understanding of what you are struggling with, assess what therapeutic intervention I feel will be most beneficial for you and think about whether I am the right person to offer support. Should we decide to work together, we can then develop a therapy plan based on your particular needs.
